What is the difference between "student modality" and "apprenticeship or work-study modality"?

Student modality: you study your programme as a full-time student. This is the classic way of learning.

Apprenticeship modality: also called "work-study" or "alternance" modality, this is a special organisation allowing to spend half of your time at ESA, and the other half working for your sponsor company. It usually follows a rhythm of one month at ESA / one month in the company.

Apprenticehip is available to international students under a series of conditions.

International students can apply for the work-study modality at ESA only if they respect the following criteria:

  • they have lived in France for more than a year already
  • OR they apply for a Master's degree

It is significantly complicated for a non-French speaker to find a sponsor company in France.

Please do not select the "contrat de professionnalisation" or the "Stagiaire de la Formation continue" if you are not French.
