How do I get a visa?

You will receive a step-by-step procedure from the Welcome Desk Officer. Here are the main steps:

Step 1 – “ETUDES EN FRANCE” PLATFORM :

If you live outside the European Union, you have to register first on the online platform by CAMPUS FRANCE named “ETUDES EN FRANCE”.

Some countries may not follow this process yet, please check here if your country is on the list: https://www.campusfrance.org/fr/faq/quels-sont-les-pays-relevant-de-la-procedure-etudes-en-france.

If you do not live in of these countries, please turn directly to step 3.

Step 2 – APPOINTMENT WITH CAMPUS FRANCE :

Once your file is submitted, you will need to take an appointment with the nearest Campus France agency. Follow the instructions sent by Campus France (each country has its own procedure).

Step 3 – FRANCE-VISAS PLATFORM :

Once you have received the "API - Autorisation Provisoire d'Inscription" from CAMPUS FRANCE, you can apply on the website: “FRANCE-VISA”:

Fill in the long-stay visa application form like the sample below:

Step 4: APPOINTMENT WITH THE CONSULATE :

Go to the appointment with the letter of acceptance and certificate of enrolment sent by ESA to the French embassy/consulate. Around 3 weeks later, you should receive your visa!
